Unity Group was founded in the year of wedlock of Mr. Dinesh Kumar Gupta and Mrs Rekha Gupta in 1989, the managing directors of the company. The name of the company was based on the union of family who joined the business and helped it grow as a corporate.
Initially, Unity had a swift start with exports of textiles and imports of chemical commodities. Since 1980s, Unity Agro owns major stakes in the local industry and is considered highly renowned and reputed for its quality products and commitments, Unity Agro has now turned into one of the leading commodity trading houses of India.
In early 2011, utilizing the experience spread over decades, Unity Agro decided to discover new horizons by expanding its operations in commodity trading and exports to major International Markets.
The year 2013 saw the evolutionary inception of quality Basmati Rice exports by Unity Agro to its consumers worldwide. During its first year, Unity Agro accounted for trade of more than 195000 number of bagged rice.
Coming years saw phenomenal multi – fold rise in this number. With increased demand, the consumption curve for Unity Agro is on an upward incline with major importing countries belonging from Middle East and Europe.
As time ambled away, Unity Agro has not only matured but also grown stronger with changing group dynamics and traditional values to become a benchmark for quality products it deals in.
Unity Agro’s processing units are situated in Chhattisgarh region with state of the art technology and machinery used to process cargoes from initial stages of procurement till the final stages of packing and loading.
Rice delivered by Unity Agro is top quality, well – cleaned, textured, graded and inspected by our highly experienced Quality Assurance unit to make sure that quality is not compromised at any stage of the process.

Ensuring the Quality and Purity of Rice Shipments, we are happy to work with quality control, inspection and standard implementation majors: SGS & Bureau Veritas. We have excellent cooperation both at the country mill site as well as the loading ports.
THIRD - PARTY QUALITY CONTROL
Since 2006 , unity agro has been working with SGS & Bureau Veritas to control and manage its cargoes of rice being exported around the world . SGS & Bureau Veritas has been assisting by carrying out Pre – Shipment Inspections ( PSIS ) at Vizag Port & JNPT ( India’s largest western side shipping gateway ) .
Pre – Shipment Inspections establish the nature, weight and quality of each shipment Documents are then issued by SGS & Bureau Veritas to certify the shipment, thus reassuring the buyer that the load corresponds with the order. Such third party reassurance is a basic requirement from buyers, especially to attest the quality of the rice being delivered. In addition, the involvement of SGS & Bureau Veritas ensures that Unity Agro maintains effective control all its transactions.
At many destination ports, SGS & Bureau Veritas also carries out inspection of cargoes according to the instructions of each buyer. To provide the services required in all of Unity Agro ( India ) markets, SGS & Bureau Veritas is able to offer local service and expertise everywhere by relying on its extensive worldwide network.
LOGISTICS
Unity Agro ( India ) owns a warehouse spread over 20 Acres ( 100,000 sq. yards ) in the rice bowl of India. Further, it also manages 50,000 sq. feet storage godown within the premises of India’s largest eastern coast port in Bay of Bengal viz Vishakhapatnam.
This strategic warehousing location enables us to ship out goods at an hour’s notice and ensures priority loading as soon as the vessel destined for shipment docks at the bay.
Our company ensures proper transportation, logistics through cargo vessels and containers, irrespective of seasons, throughout the year. First class shipping lines are used ( SAF Marine, Maersk APL PIL ) to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods at destination ports.
